FEAT JADE SEXTON - MODEL
from a recent photoshoot
Ryan contacted me for a James Dean type photoshoot so this is what we tried this morning. He’s very happy with the images as am I.
Male models are few and far between so was great to collaborate with him to achieve these images.
Body Scapes/Low Light
Challenges are few and far between but something Anila always attempts - heres some low light photography and some silhouettes shot this past weekend
Melissa 2nd Place
I always strive to do what i can, and lucky for me this image came 2nd place in a recent Photography competition with Woodford and Wanstead Photographic Society.
So proud as im always undecided what to submit and thought the judges may be critical of this image.
Super happy it will be along side other images on display at the stations, during our summer fete and various other locations exhibited.
Happy our model Melissa also excited it came 2nd place. Love sharing my work with my models i work with.
A little creative editing with colour can change a whole image.
Had the pleasure in shooting this model in a studio.
I was apprehensive but she was such a fabulous model that made it very easy. The water added a lot more texture to the low light. I adore the manner in which the light is reflected.
Was a great shoot
One problem i have is deciding whether to edit in black and white or colour. Some images just scream black and white.
Recently I received some enquiries for some pet photography. Hadn’t even thought about why anyone would want photos of their pets, then I realised they are family too. It was great fun and the cats are very photogenic.
Ive added some other species - some owls and eagles whom had the pleasure to photograph at the weekend too. Was absolutely amazing.
Have some pets? want some photographs, enquire within nothing is impossible and im sure we can all have some fun with them too, as much as they are part of your life, they are still memories to be captured.
what a stunning sat very friendly and very hyperactive
Anila has just started to photograph food.
She finds it thoroughly enjoyable and has lots of fun. Some menus are bespoke (bokan) and some are on display (Harrods).
If you have a new menu you would like picture of please get in touch and let Anila take those photographs for your bespoke or online menu
Some of the snaps are from a recent Olympus shoot where we have used food to decorate the products. So product photography is also an option
Portfolio updates and images for websites are often required. Anila can assist with your photography needs.
Browse through the gallery you will see something photographically achievable and what is hidden can be accommodated to your needs.
Most people are not happy in front of the camera - Anila can put you at ease making it a truly fun session.
Anila has a laid back approach and is not pretentious, She adores showing clients images during a shoot just to give the client more confidence and put their minds at ease that the images are what they are after and they are happy with the content. This will reflect in the rest of the session and the fun can continue..
Anything you are not sure of ask.
The images win this gallery were a bespoke package for my returning client, she had an idea what type of images she wanted and whether headshots or full length, i picked a decent venue/area, client had an idea of outfits and hey presto. I tried to make it a fun shoot and showed my client images along the way to ensure they were happy. Fortunately for me Jess was very happy and the images are on her website/instagram.
Returning client - Jessica Rogers of Jessica Rogers Coaching
Elle is a vintage model as you can see, these are from a recent event with Olympus UK - blog will be updated shortly. Just some snapshots of her shoot , think she pulled if off superbly and ended up having lots of fabulous images for her portfolio
Always a pleasure to see people again. this was Jessicas 2nd shoot with me.
She was very specific about her request and what she wanted out of the shoot, the outfits and the locations were all discussed prior to the shoot.
I picked the best venue i could think of, the part of London which is so versatile and simply stunning with its architecture and area in general. The shoot was March 2018
Im pleased to say these images were for her new website which is now up and running. Go give her a follow let us know what you think.
I wish her every success and look forward to what the future hold
Anila's photography started with structures and her admiration for architecture, light, shadows, and angles. She adores buildings, the manner i, which it catches the light and so forth.
This gallery is an ongoing work in progress and more images will be added to give you an idea of her very keen eye and her obsession with structure and perception. She never looks at anything head on, there is an angle in everything.
Have something you wish to commission her on, enquire within,
Anila has just got back from Copenhagen, where she was on the hunt for some amazing architecture.
Her last trip was some 6 years ago and she states she was impressed with what new structures she found in Copehagen.
As a fan of architecture, she states the innovative designs, qwerty builds, materials used and contrasts impressed her greatly.
There are more images on her instagram on both @sparkle71h and @akhussainphotography. Have a look what she found
The Reichstag Berlin
such an amazing structure no words needed
One New Change
fabulous glass and steel in perfect harmony at one new change. One of my most architecturally friendly places in London. Whichever angle you look it looks so different
Anila hadn't been to this museum in years. In fact her last visit was when she was at school some 20 years ago.
To her admiration she states this is one of the many free and absolutely architecturally stunning masterpieces she has been in.
There are so many angles from which to get the best photo.
The only problem with instagram is the imitation rate is vast.
Yet each time she visits she finds a new angle. One she adores and always challenges herself to find that batter vantage point not see in a while.
This is one of many.
Having lived in London her whole life, Anila is still finding new areas to photograph, regardless whether they have been done before or not her idea of architecture and angles is always a breath of fresh air.
She is constantly challenging herself to find a new perspective. Here it is shot on a fuji 10-20MM laid on the ground looking up and four buildings. What do you think?
She says she hates being short, but when its a look up like this its kind of worth it. Id have to agree.
When you visit a city Anila often says why does no body look up?
The most stunning details and views are see if people actually look up.
Needless to say she does it all the time and gets the best images, especially the ones she adores.
She now has a permanent neck ache, but says "for the view its all worth it"
Ive had a few opportunities to shoot gigs. This is from a regular visit at the old fashioned live where theres a live mike. The talent is truly amazing and the tones and blues tunes always blow me away.
So much to enjoy photography and listen to their tones at the same time. Credit to all the performers absolutely magical.
old fashioned live
a regular monthly gig at a pub in north london, lots of very talented people here to snap
its the details, that make the event as well as the fabulous singers, atmosphere and customers to cheer the crowd. What makes it even more enjoyable if you love the music and have a respect for their talent.
This lovely singer was so dapper i couldn’t help but snap him at the christmas gig for old fashioned live
When your engagement taken are displayed for the big day… the wedding
capturing those special moments between the brother and a sister on the engagement day is what I adore about photography
how delicate is this cake loved all the details
Good to capture candid photos at an event and the bride Aqsa couldn’t have looked more pretty
capture the details to remember the day
Getting group shots can be mundane and boring so go with the flow and create some energy and make them jump
sometimes you don’t have to be super close shooting from a distance can still capture the emotions of the day
several generations get together at weddings find them and take a portrait as you never know what tomorrow will bring be part of the family and not just the photographer
The fine line
sometimes its nice to capture partial shots, there plenty of full shots but to to give you a tases heres a few
